This week's message:

JESUS  IS  ENOUGH (03-21-10)

                                          
                                            (Colossians 2:8-15)

CAUTION:
        Beware of those who would like to Kidnap you.
Vs. 8  Don’t let anyone “cheat you”—Literally to carry you off – to kidnap.
        How:
           By “philosophy”—that  is “vain deceit”
           By “traditions”—that do not depend upon the ancient scriptures.

For Jesus is Enough Because:
 Vs. 9—In Jesus “dwell ALL the fullness of the Godhead bodily.”
 Vs.10—In Jesus the believer is “complete”:
•    spiritually
•    morally
•    mentally
vss.11-15—There is  3 aspects of our completion:
1     A Complete Salvation vss. 11-12—Not an outward action, but an inward
       belief from the heart.

2    A Complete Forgiveness vss.13-14—Apart from human works
            “He made us alive together” and as a result we have been
                            forgiven all our trespasses”—vs.13
                                                                             
                 Characteristics of God’s Forgiveness:
1)    It is not earned
2)    It is Complete
3)    God’s forgiveness is eager—Ex. 18:23; Ps. 86:5
4)    God’s forgiveness is certain—Acts 26:18
5)    God’s forgiveness is unequalled—Micah 7:18
6)    God’s forgiveness is motivation—Eph. 4:32; Matt.18:23-35

Vs. 14—Is the Apostle’s illustrations of God’s forgiveness

3.    A Complete Victory-- vs.15
•    He disarmed
•    Made a public display
•    Triumphed over them
